Thanks for watching out for my user and user talk page and reverting vandalism. I have been offline for almost an entire day so it would have sat there. It is amazing that some vandals are so jaded that they will vandalize the user pages of anyone who catches them. Donner60 (talk) 01:51, 23 May 2013 (UTC
I saw more activity and went to request a block, but I saw you'd already done it! High five! Your justice was restrained, but swift when appropriate.

Oh, thanks! That could be a superhero's tag line. "Justice is restrained, but swift where appropriate" *Flies away, roll credits*. Howicus (talk) 04:20, 30 May 2013 (UTC)
Thanks! I need to catch a game with the Armenian National Football team in it, and look for the 43 identical midfielders :) Howicus (talk) 22:26, 2 June 2013 (UTC)
Thanks; your civility and unwillingness to contribute to drama, while still thinking and attempting to work with others, greatly impressed me. I had to think about it, and I would not be staying, even with the kindness of a few other editors, but for seeing how sanely one individual can act under the circumstances. AfadsBad (talk) 17:46, 21 June 2013 (UTC)
Wow, thanks. That really makes me feel good about editing, I mean it. Howicus (talk) 19:54, 21 June 2013 (UTC)
Howicus has helped me countless times thru IRC. When I was starting on Wikipedia he answered all my silly questions without complaint. I don't know how I would have began on Wikipedia without Howicus. Roborule (talk) 16:40, 2 February 2014 (UTC)
Thank you for all your hard work, on-wiki or off. Thanks for helping at #wikipedia-en-help. Cheers and Thanks, L235-TalkPing when replying 21:12, 14 August 2014 (UTC)
For your very hard work helping on IRC, I present you with this barnstar. Normally, I refrain from giving more than one award to a person per archiving cycle, but I was watching you on IRC, seeing how helpful you are to everyone who shows up, and decided I couldn't not give you a barnstar. You're a great friend(may I call you a friend?) and a valuable editor. Thanks! Happy editing, L235-TalkPing when replying 03:46, 16 November 2014 (UTC)
Thank you! And by all means, go ahead and call me friend, friend. Howicus(Did I mess up?) 04:06, 16 November 2014 (UTC)
Thanks for all the truly great work you've been doing in #wikipedia-en-helpconnect- keep it up. Regards, --L235 (talk) Ping when replying 02:31, 25 January 2015 (UTC)
Your ongoing efforts to improve the encyclopedia have not gone unnoticed: You have been selected as Editor of the Week for a great attitude for helping others. Thank you for the great contributions! (courtesy of the Wikipedia Editor Retention Project)
I nominate Howicus to be Editor of the Week for his attitude and helpfulness at the #wikipedia-en-helpconnect IRC channel. Howicus is one of the most friendly helpers on -help that I've seen in months of idling in the channel, while simultaneously actually helping the helpee instead of saying things to be rid of the helpee. Howicus is a wonderful editor to talk to and almost always cheers everyone up. In addition, he does excellent work on-wiki patrolling vandalism and is an unsung hero of the 'pedia.
You can copy the following text to your user page to display a user box proclaiming your selection as Editor of the Week:
{{subst:Wikipedia:WikiProject Editor Retention/Editor of the Week/Recipient user box}}
Thanks again for your efforts! This nomination also received four seconds, so a quadruple thanks from the encyclopedia for your efforts! GoPhightins! 12:51, 1 March 2015 (UTC)
Thank you for your work, and congratulations! --L235 (t / c / ping in reply) 16:27, 1 March 2015 (UTC)
Howicus: you had a total of 5 supporters for this award, which is quite special and definitely highly unusual- see Special:Permalink/645400834#Howicus. Cheers! :D --L235 (t / c / ping in reply) 19:30, 1 March 2015 (UTC)
It might well have been six had I been editing while the nomination was being considered. You've earned this. John Carter (talk) 00:54, 2 March 2015 (UTC)
A token of appreciation for all you do for your fellow editors.. Buster Seven Talk 19:33, 1 March 2015 (UTC)
Uh, this is a mite embarrassing, but to date no one has officially graduated from my adoption school...except for my current adoptee, everyone who's set up an adoption school page has since gone inactive. So...I wouldn't call it notable work yet, though I have high hopes for the future! Howicus(Did I mess up?) 23:29, 2 March 2015 (UTC)
I saw your request about clarifying the graduates. I tried to make the change on the template but it didn't work. And I'm not sure why it didn't work. Be sure of one thing ...the effort to have the school is notable and beyond the usual efforts of most editors. You may not have a grad yet but there is no doubt that you will. . I need someone to adopt me to show me how to write GAs :) --L235 (t / c / ping in reply) 18:29, 3 March 2015 (UTC)
For your valuable and appreciated assistance at IRC. Thank you! You are a very good Wikipedian and have helped me many times. :) Anna Frodesiak (talk) 01:29, 30 March 2015 (UTC)
I just wanted to say thanks for giving me all that advice for naval articles. It helped. And now i have 19 articles. Thanks man. I know you've always said awards, ribbons and barnstars don't make you a good editor, and i'm not accustomed to giving barnstars to people, or receiving barnstars from people, but here you go for all the help. Luis Santos24 (Have a good day!) 01:23, 12 August 2015 (UTC)
Its okay Howicus. I love to learn on the job and if it wasn't for kind editors like you that would never be achieved. Olowe2011Talk 21:08, 26 September 2015 (UTC)
